Aquatic Species Decline at Dams and Weirs Documented
Just recently in Science Daily Sep. 14, 2011), was published an article on the fact well known that Dams and weirs have a stronger impact on the ecosystem of watercourses than was previously realized. I think it is well known and often documented in the past what the Scientists from the Technische Universitaet Muenchen have demonstrated now on the basis of a survey they have done of five rivers in the catchment areas of the Elbe, Rhine/Main, and Danube.
